The Prime Minister gave the green flag to the Pakistan-China joint project to shift Chinese industries to Pakistan

 

 

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif chaired a meeting to discuss the issues of the Board of Investment (BoI), he said that the promotion of local and foreign investment in Pakistan is among the priorities of the government, he said. The government is taking all possible measures to create a business-friendly environment for traders and investors.

 

 

June 26 (APP) Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Wednesday gave the green light to joint ventures between Chinese and Pakistani companies to shift Chinese industries to Pakistan. The Prime Minister directed the relevant authorities to submit a comprehensive report on the implementation of the MoUs signed between Pakistani and Chinese companies in Shenzhen during his recent visit to China.

 

 

He also directed to review the draft law of Special Economic Zones One Stop Shop in light of the developments after his visit to China. There are significant possibilities to do so. Meanwhile, during the briefing, the BOI Secretary said that steps are being taken to shift the Chinese industry to Pakistan. It was reported that Chinese experts are being hired to set up a Business Facilitation Center in the federal capital and the draft “Easy Business Act” is being sent to the Cabinet Committee on Legislation.

 

 

Federal Minister for Privatization and Investment Abdul Aleem Khan, Federal Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal, Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Muhammad Aurangzeb, Federal Minister for Petroleum Dr. Mossadegh Malik, Prime Minister’s Coordinator Rana Ehsan Afzal and relevant senior officials participated in the meeting—government officials.
